A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Planning and Resources) and supporting the Director of External Relations.
The post-holder will act as a professional interface between the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and their internal and external contacts. They will be responsible for managing his busy diary and making all necessary travel and meeting arrangements.
You will be required to implement and maintain office systems, and carry out a wide range of tasks. These may include attending meetings and taking minutes, maintaining accurate records, and using the University’s finance system to process expenses and complete other administrative tasks. The post-holder will also work closely with the University’s Office for General Counsel to ensure the timely preparation of paperwork related to regulatory matters.
The post-holder will also be required to undertake work on behalf of the Director of External Relations to support them in their duties. Working with the Director and divisional colleagues, you will regularly assist with a variety of initiatives and projects throughout the academic year.
The successful candidate will be approachable and confident, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with a wide range of individuals. You will have outstanding IT and administration skills, with demonstrable experience of supporting senior managers, ideally within the higher education sector or large organisation. You will be able to manage several projects simultaneously and work flexibly as part of a single team.
Based in the Vice-Chancellor’s office, this varied and fast-paced role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and experienced administrator to support members of the University’s leadership team.
