Over the last year, a new professional services team, Sussex Projects, has been developed dedicated to Portfolio, Programme and Project Management across the University to support and enable the delivery of the Sussex 2025 Strategic Framework. Leading the team as the newly created Director of Strategic Projects & Change, you will have oversight of all the project/programme management, guidance and assurance across the major projects happening in the University, which will realise the benefits of a consolidated Institutional Roadmap and Portfolio themes, bring improvements to project performance, and ensure value for money through effective project delivery.

Reporting to the Director of IT but enjoying a high level of autonomy, you will work across the University to develop robust and collaborative relationships with senior colleagues in the research, teaching, student and professional services communities to ensure service strategy and operations are aligned with their goals.

The ability to operate dynamically against the backdrop of competing demands, rising ambitions and complexity whilst adjusting to potential greater constraints on resources is of huge importance. You will be a transformational leader who influences at the executive level with a collegiate approach.  A capable strategic thinker, you will have a proven track record of personally delivering effective large-scale organisational change projects including and managing portfolios of change at the strategic level.
