In support of our strategic ambitions, the new position of Director of External Relations has been created. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and as a member of the Professional Services Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, designing and leading the implementation of external relations strategies which reflect appropriately the University’s brand and reputation, engaging a wide range of stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally.

You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships of credibility and trust with colleagues across the organisation and outside. Your capacity for creative, original thinking will engage and inspire our stakeholders whilst your commitment to our values and ethos will provide an authentic platform for raising our profile, reputation, esteem and influence.

Location: Sussex.
