Hours: Full time or part time hours considered up to a maximum of 1.0 FTE. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Salary: starting at £34,304 rising to £40,927 annum, pro rata if part time.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented fundraising professional to join and influence the University’s fundraising efforts. With an excellent track record of securing major gifts from charitable trusts and foundations, you’ll share our passion for Higher Education and for raising funds to deliver research projects and programmes of work that create a better world.
In its 60th anniversary year, the University of Sussex has an ambitious programme to fundraise for. Working closely with the Development Director and the Head of Development alongside other fundraisers, you will be responsible for securing philanthropic grants for research, scholarship and capital projects.
You’ll play a strategic role in identifying new funders, developing major grant proposals and matching them with the funding opportunities available; building key relationships with senior academic colleagues and with officers and trustees of existing and potential funders. Target driven and with a successful track record in grant writing, you will be a strong team player with outstanding written and verbal skills.
