Hours: Full time (36.5 hours per week). Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need). The work of Admissions is student-facing and standard office opening hours are 9am to 5pm.
Salary: Starting at £33,797 and rising to £40,322 per annum

We are looking to appoint a talented, efficient and experienced Deputy Postgraduate Admissions Officer to support the University’s Postgraduate Admissions process and to form part of the management team within the Admissions Office.
Working with the University’s Postgraduate Admissions Officers in the continual enhancement of postgraduate procedures, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring the swift, fair and efficient processing of postgraduate applications, with a particular focus on applications for research degrees.
In particular, the role holder will:
• have oversight of the day-to-day operation of the postgraduate team;
• lead on matters relating to postgraduate research admissions;
• provide advice to the team on assessing international qualifications;
• liaise closely with the International Recruitment team; and
• work to enhance all aspects of the international applicant experience.
The successful candidate will need experience of postgraduate admissions, as well as an understanding of the wider national issues facing the sector. You will need knowledge of international qualifications and an understanding of UKVI and Tier 4 student visas. You must have strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service. Providing day-to-day management of the Postgraduate Admissions team, you will also have a proven track record of successfully line managing staff.
It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.
