Job description

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medical Education – Lead for Undergraduate Psychiatry Senior Years at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). It is open to suitably-qualified specialists at consultant/senior lecturer level who have a specific interest in medical education and an established academic track record in this area.

The post is offered in association with Susses Partnership Trust (SPT) where the successful applicant will hold an honorary consultant contract.

The successful applicant will be an accredited psychiatrist and will have significant evidence of expertise in medical education. Ideally they will have experience within the following range of activities: curriculum development, curriculum design, assessment including admissions, use of portfolios in medical education, electronic learning, and inter-professional learning.

From an academic perspective, this post will be based in the Department of Medical Education at BSMS. The ongoing development of the school, undergraduate curriculum and assessment processes requires appropriately qualified clinical academic staff to contribute to maintaining BSMS high educational standards and to further develop our course and student experience.
