Hours: Full time or part time hours considered up to 36.5 hours. Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Salary: Starting at £25,482 and rising to £29,515 per annum. It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.

We are seeking to appoint an Academic Services Supervisor to work within the Academic Services section of the Library.
The post holder will report to the Learning and Teaching Librarians, delivering high quality information skills training to groups of students from a wide range of subject disciplines.
They will assist with the development of online support for students and researchers through the Skills Hub and the Library’s online guides. They will also support students on an individual basis via bookable 1-2-1 tutorials and help desk duties.
The post holder will supervise and co-ordinate the provision of reading lists for all taught students; selecting and purchasing books and other resources and assisting academics with creating and editing their online reading lists.
They will work closely with other teams in the Library to ensure the availability of digital content, to supervise collection management projects and to gather statistics to support internal and external reporting.
To succeed in this post, you must enjoy working as a member of a team in a busy environment. You must be able to take initiative, be well organised and flexible. Good web and IT skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. An understanding of the changes and trends in Higher Education libraries is essential.
Some weekend and evening work will be required.
