Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced librarian to manage the Library’s Academic Services team.  This team has responsibility for delivering education and research support services to the academic community.

As Academic Services Manager, you will manage the Library’s scholarly communications support, including advocacy for open practice, the development of our research data management service, the deposit of research outputs into our institutional repository and compliance with funder Open Access mandates.

You will be responsible for the Library’s teaching programme, from Foundation year students to doctoral researchers, and support for staff training. You will be responsible for the management of reading lists and the day-to-day management of the budget to support learning and teaching.

You will also work closely with the Library’s Content Delivery team to ensure that our subscribed resources meet the research and education needs of our academic community.

The Academic Services Manager is part of the Library’s Operational Management Team and will contribute to the delivery of the Library’s strategic aims.
