Posted on behalf of: Staff Apprenticeship Scheme
Last updated: Thursday, 1 August 2024
In the spirit of celebrating diversity and fostering an inclusive environment, we are delighted to announce our partnership with East Sussex College Group to offer staff at Sussex the chance to gain a Level 2 qualification specialising in Equality and Diversity.
This course would benefit anyone looking to grow professionally and personally while utilising newfound insight to contribute to our vision of becoming an ‘Inclusive Sussex’.
Why enrol:
- Deepen your understanding: Explore the complex issues surrounding equality and diversity through three core units teaching you how to apply your knowledge in real-world settings. Learners will develop an understanding of the effects of stereotyping, labelling, prejudice, and discrimination within society, consider potential inequalities which can occur within a community and the support services available, and equip themselves with the knowledge of how individual rights are protected in the workplace.
- Improve campus culture: Play a pivotal role in championing inclusivity, diversity, equality, and belonging to create an environment where all students and staff feel valued and respected.
- Flexible learning: With an estimated completion time of 10 weeks, the course is fully online and self-paced. You will benefit from an experienced assessor on hand to help you with any questions you might have and can flexibly schedule your study around pre-existing commitments.
- Professional recognition: Validate your expertise by gaining a fully accredited Level 2 certificate by NCFE CACHE, a well-established and nationally recognised awarding body. UK employers are often looking to improve equality and diversity within their companies, so having a qualification in this area is a great addition to any CV which can provide a solid foundation for further study and/or career development.
How to get started:
With ADR conversations around the corner, there is no better time to understand the benefits of promoting a culture surrounding equality and diversity.
Signing up is simple. Just visit the East Sussex College Group website and choose Equality and Diversity. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire, including a basic maths and English assessment, to enable you to gain access to the free course.
