Security escorting service
- After dark, University Security staff provide a service to escort you across campus, or to and from Falmer Station.
To book this service, telephone the Security office on: 01273 (87) 7777 - please give as much notice as possible.
24-hour crime and accident emergency contact number
- for police, ambulance or fire service when you are on campus: 01273 873333 (3333 on internal phones) not 999 as Security staff need to guide emergency vehicles through campus. You can also phone this number for the campus first aid team.

- You can also call Security 24 hours a day from one of the many emergency phones on campus (most of these phones have blue flashing lights).
If you live in private accomodation
If you’re living in the private sector and need out-of-hours emergency welfare support please phone JAM, our out-of-hours call-back service, on (+44) (0)2089 383873. JAM will give guidance over-the phone and will also contact the Residential Community Coordinator (RCC) on duty who will return your call within the hour. The RCC will offer over-the-phone welfare support and advice, along with signposting for additional available support.
