Policy and employment
A University-wide consultation took place in January 2009 around a revised Associate Tutor policy and associated role profiles, led by the Associate Tutor Policy & Strategy Working Group.

Final versions of the policy and role profiles were discussed and agreed in consultation with the UCU Joint Negotiating Committee, University Teaching & Learning Committee, and Senate throughout February & March 2009.

The Academic Role Profiles relating to Associate Tutors set out tutors' main responsibilities and activities in respect of teaching and scholarship at each of the three associate tutor grades.
