Technology Enhanced Learning at Sussex

What is Padlet?

Padlet provides a virtual wall where users can post content and comments. Most types of digital content can be added to a Padlet (directly or as a web link) and the options for layout, access and permissions make it useful in a wide range of settings.

Please also see the short video below for an overview of Padlet and its features.

As many University of Sussex staff use Padlet in their teaching, TEL have purchased a Backpack licence that will allow teaching staff at Sussex to:

  • Create unlimited Padlets
  • Upload files up to 250MB (10 times more than with a free Padlet account)
  • Avoid Ads.

In order to gain access to the Padlet Backpack licence please email TEL

TEL have created a short self-study course which looks at some ideas for using Padlet and takes staff through the steps of creating and sharing padlets with students. Please follow this link to self-enrol Padlet for staff.
