Summer school for adults 11 - 17 July 2010

Ever wanted to hear opera at Glyndebourne? Dig at a Roman bath-house? Get to know the Bloomsbury Group, Winston Churchill or Henry VIII? Then take a course at our adult summer school.

The player will show in this paragraph

Each course runs for five days, with arrival on Sunday 11 July and departure the following Saturday, 17 July. Classes will be held in the mornings leaving you plenty of free time to take one of our optional trips: to explore the local area such as the beautiful old towns of Lewes and Arundel, or the exciting modern city of Brighton with its historical Royal Pavilion and its vibrant and diverse life.

Most courses include a day-long field trip to a relevant site of interest, such as venues in London or local historical venues. There will be guest lectures or other entertainment on most evenings.

Whether you are new to the area or someone who wants to visit old haunts, this is an exciting opportunity for you to take a carefully selected week-long course in the company of an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated tutor. If you want an exciting course that gives you a stimulating yet relaxing experience on a cosmopolitan campus, set in acres of rolling green parkland as the only British university set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, then this is the summer school for you.
