(2013 entry)
The final stage of the application process takes place during the summer, with the publication of A level and other examination results.
While A level results (and those for a few other qualifications) will be received by the University directly from the examination board, some applicants will be asked to send copies of their formal results when these are published. All results required to meet the conditions of an offer must be submitted by 31 August.
If you are holding a conditional offer and meet the grades required when your qualification results are published, your place will be confirmed through UCAS. If you have not obtained the grades asked for in your offer, you will not automatically be turned down. We will make a final decision on the basis of the remaining spaces, the examination results and any other relevant information. If there is any change in your personal or academic circumstances, you should tell us before the examination results are published. In many subjects we have very limited space available, so it is important that we know about any special circumstances in advance of the publication of results.
