Sussex visits

Inbound visits

We are pleased to be able to offer bespoke year-round visits in to school groups. In the last year alone, over 6000 students visited Sussex in this way, finding our friendly single-site campus an ideal place to get a feel for what student life has to offer.

A typical visit for Year 11 or Year 12 students might include a campus tour, a look at our learning resources and a presentation/workshop. We may - on request - be able to schedule a subject tutor to speak to your group if they are all looking to study in the same subject area. Our graduate fieldworkers are assisted by a team of current Sussex students (some of whom may well have progressed from schools or colleges in your area) and visiting students always find this kind of contact particularly motivating.

Most visits take place between 10am and 2pm, to ensure that - with travel to and from the University - you keep within school hours. Students may either bring their own packed lunch, bring cash to use in one of our catering outlets, or you can pre-order lunch vouchers.

Outbound visits

We are equally happy to come to your school to talk to your students. Each year we visit numerous schools and colleges throughout the region (and often beyond!) to take part in Higher Education fairs, parents' evenings, careers information days and much more. We can also deliver tailored presentations and workshops to year groups on request.
