PhD project

This project will focus on the ways in which we can simultaneously foster the narrative and computational skills of adolescents through game creation.

The research will involve the development of a programming environment, integrated with Unity 3D, which can provide narrative and computational support for young people as they develop their own 3D story-based games.

The project will involve an evaluation of the environment to examine the extent to which it is successful in improving both the narrative and computational skills of young people.

This project is one of a number ear-marked for funding by the University of Sussex Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Doctoral Training Partnership to commence in September 2018.

This project is in direct competition with others for funding; the projects which receive the best applicants will be awarded the funding.
