CHASE AHRC studentship scheme (2018)
The University of Sussex is a member of the CHASE Doctoral Training Partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council. CHASE invites applications for its fifth round of Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) PhD studentship awards.
CHASE is one of 11 Doctoral Training Partnerships in the UK awarded funding by the AHRC.
CHASE studentships are for PhD-level study only and successful applicants will have their fees paid, as well as receiving a stipend to cover living expenses (where eligible, see below) and access to further funds for research expenses. In addition, CHASE-funded students have the opportunity of undertaking a placement with one of our partner organisations, to apply research skills in a work environment. Plus, successful applicants will benefit from research and practical expertise available across all other CHASE institutions via existing research networks, joint or additional supervision and Encounters conferences, where all CHASE-funded students come together twice a year.
