Research excellence

In the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), over 90 per cent of our research was rated as being internationally recognised or better. Distinguished faculty

We are proud to have counted among our faculty three Nobel Prize winners and one winner of the prestigious Crafoord Prize. Doctoral School

Our Doctoral School is a distinctive development at Sussex, operating alongside our schools of studies. Postgraduate training

Our Doctoral School hosts the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Centre, through which the ESRC delivers support for postgraduate training. The Centre receives around £3.5 million in funding from the ESRC.
