The Hornsey Scholarship (2016)

The University is delighted to offer The Hornsey Scholarship to encourage a student to pursue a career in corporate governance.

We invite applications from outstanding students on the MSc in International Accounting and Corporate Governance who aim to work in this field. To aid the successful recipient's career prospects, the student will spend four weeks working in Fidelity's Corporate Governance team.

The student should be aware that Fidelity Group Investment manages a large family of mutual funds and provides: fund distribution and investment advice services; discount brokerage services; retirement services; wealth management; securities execution and clearance; life insurance.

The student will also perform the role of student ambassador and will be expected to enhance the student experience in the School of Business, Management and Economics as a whole.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must be a UK national who has accepted a place on the MSc in International Accounting and Corporate Governance.

Note: A student can accept both the Hornsey Scholarship and the Sussex Graduate Scholarship. In this circumstance the Sussex Graduate Scholarship will be awarded as a fee waiver and The Hornsey Scholarship can be used to pay the remaining balance of the fees or accepted as a maintenance grant that will awarded at the start of each term in equal amounts.

How to apply

As a UK applicant once you have accepted your place on MSc in International Accounting and Corporate Governance you will automatically be considered for the award. For further information please visit the International Accounting and Corporate Governance MSc page.

The successful student will spend four weeks during the Easter break at the Governance team at Fidelity in the City of London. Fidelity is one of the UK's largest investment fund managers.
