Chancellor's Masters Scholarship application form

You must submit an application for your Masters course and complete the following form by 1 August.

Before you apply

You must:

  • have already applied and received an offer on an eligible Masters course
  • have a first in a UK bachelors degree or a European equivalent. If you've not graduated yet, you must be due to finish your course in 2017.

Qualifications awarded or expected

Indicate whether your university was in the UK or EU (you can only apply if you have a a degree from the UK/rest of the Europe)

Personal statement

Write a personal statement of no more than 3000 characters. Your statement should include evidence of previous academic achievements, commitment to your chosen Masters course and future potential for undertaking research. You can either write a new statement or use the statement from your Masters application. When we assess your application, we consider:

  • the options you plan to take on the Masters course
  • the research project you want to do for your Masters dissertation
  • how these elements might fit together to form the basis of further research
  • evidence of previous research work / projects etc.
  • indication of future plans when you finish your Masters
