The aim of this module is to develop critical thinking by exploring the historical development of accounting in its social context. This module will examine key accounting influences and changes, exploring the roots of contemporary accounting. Students will be introduced to the tools of historical accounting research, develop critical thinking skills in historical analysis and explore the contemporary relevance of accounting history.
