Accommodation

Guaranteed accommodation

For the academic year 2016/17, you are guaranteed a place in University-managed housing if you are:

  • a full-time, first-year undergraduate student applying through UCAS for September 2016. You must firmly accept our offer
  • a full-time, first-year postgraduate student studying a PhD degree. You must be studying for a full academic year
  • a student from outside the European Union studying a Masters.

You will receive a link to the online housing application from February 2016. You must apply by 1 August, and if you are a Masters or PhD student, you must also pay a £250 pre-payment by 1 August.

If you apply for housing after 1 August, your application will be considered as an expression of interest.

This means that whilst we will do our best to house you, we cannot guarantee you housing in view of demand.

Therefore we strongly recommend after 1 August that you continue with your independent search for private non-university managed accommodation in the local area.
