I live in University Accommodation You are exempt and no action is required from you. There is NO exemption for Part Time students. You are exempt and no action is required from you.
I live in the Brighton Area in postcode BN1, BN2, BN3 or BN41 Students living in BN1, BN2, BN3 & BN41 postcodes do not need a council tax exemption certificate from Sussex University. You should be exempt from council tax but need to register your details with Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC). If you receive a letter from BHCC asking for proof of your student status you should complete the Student reduction application form. There is NO exemption for Part Time students. Students living in BN1, BN2, BN3 & BN41 postcodes do not need a council tax exemption certificate from Sussex University. I live outside of Brighton You should be exempt from council tax but will need to submit a council tax certificate to your local council tax office. To obtain this from Student Systems, fill in the Request a Council Tax Exemption letter form. There is NO exemption for Part Time students. A council tax certificate will be sent to your pigeon hole 2 weeks after Autumn term begins - submit this to your local council tax office.
