Update 9.00pm Monday 11 March
Snowfall in the afternoon and evening of Monday 11 March has caused serious and continuing local traffic problems in and around Brighton.
Currently (as from 8.00pm) Brighton buses say all their services are withdrawn.
The University will have a team out this evening clearing and gritting campus roads, and car parks in accordance with snow and ice procedures.
However, the forecast is for snow to continue into this evening and we cannot guarantee that roads and car parks will be clear of snow.
Campus sports services have had to close early this evening.
The Library has also had to close (9pm) due to snow and safe travel for Library staff.
Paths and steps will be snowy and icy, so all on campus will need to take care.
We will make an assessment early on Tuesday morning to see if we can safely open.
Updates will be posted on the web by 7am.
