SUDS Edinbugh Fringe performance of Mike Bartlett's 'Contractions'

This year at the Edinburgh Fringe, SUDS are putting on a performance of Contractions by Mike Bartlett. Famed most recently for his adaptation of Chariots of Fire to the West End, Contractions is a disturbing modern satire of working life.
Fourteen office meetings are depicted between a character ambiguously referred to as the 'Manager' and the fiery Emma, her employee. Crude absurdity emerges in the domain of the Manager as Emma's personal life becomes meshed with her profession. Contractions is a modern tragedy, that brings the banalities of office politics and the artificiality of technocrats to a heart-wrenching conclusion.
