Special Collections, Top Floor, University of Sussex Library
Part of the series: Exhibition

The Sussex Writing/Writing Sussex exhibition, arranged by the School of English, celebrates the creative writing produced over the last 50 years by former and present staff and students at Sussex.

The exhibition includes work by a Booker Prize winner, a winner of the T.S.Eliot Poetry Prize, two best-selling popular novelists and one of the country's finest crime-writers.

The exhibition displays the work of the distinguished authors whose careers were launched by the Creative Writing DPhil programme at Sussex and draws attention to the avant-garde poetry written by former and present staff and students of the School of English.

There is a small section devoted to writing by major postwar British writers who have written about the University of Sussex, often disparagingly.

The exhibition highlights the work produced by the staff and students of the School of English alongside the work of staff and students of departments throughout the University.

The exhibition lasts until May 31
