All students and staff who register a SussexFood munch money card will be entered into a draw to win £100 food credit.
Munch money cards are a cashless card system that enable students and staff to upload credit onto their card and then spend throughout SussexFood outlets.
The cards are extremely quick to use - a simple tap at the till – so they should start to decrease queue times in the busy cafes on campus.
There is also no £3 minimum spend on munch money cards, unlike all accepted debit and credit cards, meaning people don’t have to buy any additional items to go above the minimum spend threshold.
Furthermore, munch money cards are completely free and SussexFood have included neat extra benefits for students and staff using the cards:
- Hot drink loyalty points - buy nine hot drinks and your 10th will be free. If you drink a lot of tea or coffee, this is a lot of free drinks!
- Top-up deals - up to 20% free credit on large top-up transactions (see website for details)
- Birthday free coffee - Everyone gets a free hot drink on their birthday!
The cards can be topped up anytime, online.
There is also the function of adding a “linked account”. This is a separate card master who can also top up the card. This means parents/guardians, for example, can top up a student’s card, safe in the knowledge that the money is being spent on food. And with new food concepts such as On the Pulse they know they can eat healthy and great-value food.
The cards can be picked up from the tills at any SussexFood outlet and you can register your card by visiting www.sussex.ac.uk/catering/munchmoney and following the simple steps.
The competition for £100 of food credit will run until midnight on Friday 6 November 2015. Anyone who has previously registered a card is automatically entered into the prize draw. The winner will be announced during the week beginning Monday 9 November.
