Tuesday's events in the Careers Marquee!

The Careers Marquee is in Library Square all week! We have a full programme open to everyone including short talks, careers advice, freebies, a competition and a part-time jobs fair!

Here's Tuesday's line up...

Top Tips
Each day we'll run a series of 'Top Tips in 10 mins' talks. These short talks lasting around 10 minutes, with the chance for questions afterwards.

11:00 - 16:00: Civil Service Fast Stream
Meet with current Fast Streamers, including Sussex graduates, and have your questions answered about the graduate scheme. The Civil Service need talented people to lead the future. Whoever you are, whatever your background, the Fast Stream is the fastest route to real leadership.

12:00 - 14:00: Part-time work on campus - Student Ambassador Recruitment 
Come along to find out about how you could work part-time for the Widening Participation team and the general Student Recruitment team at Sussex.


12:00 - 15:00: First Generation Scholar Drop-in
Are you a First Generation Scholar? Come along to speak to our First Generation Scholar Officer, Mike Durrant, who can talk to you about the work and study opportunities to you, including summer internships in China or the UK and summer school places.

14:00 - 16:00: Skills Hub: Academic Skills drop in

Learn how you can get support and advice from the academic skills team to develop the skills you need for university and beyond. Drop by for an informal chat or bring specific questions.


Need careers advice or a CV review?
A careers consultant will also be available each day for quick queries in the careers marquee from 11am - 4pm. There is no need to book in advance, just show up on the day to chat about anything to do with careers and employability.


Workshops at the Careers and Employability Centre
These sessions are more in-depth and will last for around 45 minutes.
13:00 - 14:00: Thinking about your future for First Years
It’s never too early to start thinking about your future and life after university!
