More Amazon Lockers now on campus

The name for the Amazon Locker in Northfield is Lyrik.

The Amazon Locker at Lancaster House is in the foyer.

You can select any Amazon Locker location as your delivery address, including this one in Park Village on campus.

Following a successful trial of Amazon Lockers at the Northfield Social Centre, the University of Sussex has installed additional lockers around the campus residences to make this parcel delivery service more widely available for use by students and staff.

In addition to the existing Amazon Lockers at Northfield, there are now lockers at Lancaster House and outside the Park Village launderette.

Amazon Lockers are a self-service parcel delivery service offered by online retailer Amazon.

Amazon customers can select any locker location as their delivery address, and retrieve their orders at that location by entering a unique pick-up code on a touch screen. The lockers can also be used to return items to Amazon in some instances.

To use the lockers, just navigate to and search for your preferred delivery location by entering the locker name or postcode:

  • Lancaster House: locker name Suber, postcode BN1 9RU
  • Northfield: locker name Lyrik, postcode BN1 9QU
  • Park Village: locker name Velour, postcode BN1 9RH

Alternatively, choose the Post Office in Bramber House as a pick-up point during working hours (Monday-Friday, 9.30am-5.30pm).

Customers have three business days to pick up their parcel, although it would be great if they could collect the same day where possible, to free up space for other customers’ parcels.

Paul Knight, Contract Manager (Catering and Retail Services), says: “This is a great service enhancement for student residents in particular, who will now be able to collect their Amazon parcels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - whereas previously they could collect parcels only when their porter’s office was open.

“It’s also a great benefit to staff, who may not be at home to sign for Amazon deliveries.”
