No late submission penalties for submissions with deadlines between 17 May and 9 June

Following queries from students, we are pleased to advise you that no penalties will be applied during the late submission period for all assessment submissions with a deadline set by the Schools between 17 May 2017 and 9 June 2017.

Please note that this is not an extension and that all the original deadlines within this period stand.

  • Once the deadline has passed, it is not possible to replace an e-submission file that has already been uploaded.
  • If you have made an e-submission before the deadline, you will not be able to change the file after the deadline has passed.
  • If you make an e-submission of an assessment for the first time during the late submission period, you will  have one only chance to upload your file.

As is usual, all students - including students registered with the Student Support Unit - can submit without penalty during the late submission period.

Requests from students to extend deadlines by 7 days have been considered, and the University has found that this could not be implemented. This is because University staff need time for marking to ensure that marking is complete before the exam boards.

This adjustment is in addition to those previously announced for deadlines from 24 April 2017 to 16 May 2017.
