Meet and Greet at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports
If you are arriving by air, we recommend that you go by rail to Brighton train station (if you are living off campus) or to Falmer station if you will be living on campus. See below for details of the free coach from Heathrow.
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2013, there will be University of Sussex representatives at both airports to welcome new international students to the UK as follows:
Gatwick Airport
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September between 8am and 6pm.
Student helpers will be in the South Terminal International Arrivals Hall which is next to the Airport Information Desk.
London Gatwick airport is approximately 25 miles (40km) north of Brighton, half an hour by road or rail.
Heathrow Airport
Saturday 14 September - between 6am and 10pm.
Sunday 15 September - between 6am and 9pm.
Student helpers will be located in the Terminal 3 and Terminal 5 Arrivals Areas.
All student helpers will be wearing blue t-shirts and carrying a University of Sussex sign. The representatives will be there to welcome you and answer questions as well as direct you to the coaches or trains.
If you do see our airport welcome team, do introduce yourself as a new Sussex student. Please note that we are also offering a free pre-bookable coach service to the University.
London Heathrow is a just over an hour’s drive away.
