Share your memories and experiences with us by writing a blog throughout Welcome Weekend and Induction Week. The best blogs will win one of our amazing prizes!

How to enter
The competition is open to all new Sussex students arriving in September. Visit SPLASH to write and post your blog. Don't forget to tag your blog with 'My Welcome Week 2013' .
Competition period
Blogs should cover the period of Welcome Weekend (14-15 September 2013) and Induction Week (16-20 September 2013).
Closing date
The final blog entry should be on or before Monday 23 September 2013. Entries after this date will not be considered.
Judging
The competition will be judged by Student Recruitment Services and the winners will receive one of the prizes. The winner will be notified by Monday 30 September 2013.
Prizes
1st prize is £100 worth of Sainsbury's vouchers and 2nd prize is a three month Sussex Sport Gold membership (worth £85).
Publication
The University reserves the right to publish extracts from the winning entry. Entries deemed to be inappropriate for publication will be withdrawn.
Terms and conditions
Theme
The subject of your blog should be your Welcome Week. The theme is open to individual interpretation but entries must have the Welcome Weekend and Induction Week activities at their heart. You may include photographs within your blog.
The judges will select the winning blog which best illustrate the theme of the competition. In choosing the winners they will be looking for blogs that are focused, well-written and entertaining, as well as considering originality, personality and interpretation of the brief.
Tag
Each blog entry must be tagged 'My Welcome Week 2013'. Entries without this tag will not be considered.
