By working with schools and colleges, attending and running events, we guide prospective UK students and their parents or carers from enquiry, through application, to induction.

Undergraduate recruitment

The UK Recruitment team manages our UK undergraduate recruitment activity, including going out to major UCAS events, visiting schools and colleges, and welcoming visitors for campus tours and tasters.

On-campus activities

We welcome over 6,000 students on to campus for school and group-specific visits each year. We work closely with colleagues and current students to offer bespoke packages that may include:

  • a campus tour
  • workshops and presentations, or subject-specific taster lecture
  • multi-subject taster sessions
  • revision days
  • subject conferences.

For more information on the activities we offer visit our Schools and college visits page.

External activities

Each year, we deliver in excess of 200 presentations and workshops to students and their parents or carers at school-based events.

These sessions are flexible and the team can offer bespoke presentations on request. Schools and colleges are often keen for academic staff to attend and deliver subject specific tasters, workshops and presentations on what that subject is like at higher education level.

UCAS Exhibitions

We attend UCAS exhibitions across the country, to answer questions from prospective students and distribute print copies of the Undergraduate Prospectus. These events are often prospective students' first in-person contact with the University, and are used to highlight our undergraduate offer.

Postgraduate recruitment

Our postgraduate team are responsible for postgraduate recruitment events including:

  • campus visits
  • information sessions
  • online events.
