Diversity
No two students are exactly alike. The student community at Sussex is varied and diverse: this is part of what makes Sussex great, and is something to be vauled and celebrated.
In 2011-12, the university welcomed 2700 international students, and employed teaching and research staff from 120 nations; we have students studying with us from many different faiths and religions and have a wonderful multi-faith chaplaincy based in the campus' Meeting House; Brighton and Hove is home to one of the country's biggest LGBT populations, and the Students' Union has an active LGBT society; we have many students with disabilities studying with us and we work hard to be accessible and inclusive. This brief snapshot just scratches the surface of our richly diverse campus community.
The Student Life Centre is here to support and advise all students; with that in mind, we've put some information on these pages for specific groups within our community.
