Staff Summer Party

Who is the event for?

The event is for all University of Sussex staff, SEF staff, and Chartwells staff. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Can I bring a friend or family member?

No, this is a staff only event and not open to friends or family.

Why is this happening?

The staff survey indicated that staff wanted more opportunities to meet and socialise with colleagues. The University is working on ways to bring staff together through events such as this. Keep an eye out for new announcements on the staff pages coming soon.

The Staff Summer Party is being held to thank staff for their hard work and dedication and to celebrate another excellent year for the University.

Do I need to make the time up if I attend the event?

No, you can take the time out of your normal working hours.

Do I need to stay for the whole event?

Staff are invited to the whole afternoon. If you do not wish to stay for the duration then you can return to your regular duties until your normal working day has ended.

Can I go home if I don't attend the event?

No, not unless your normal working day has ended.

I do not normally work on Wednesdays. Can I still attend the event?

Yes, please do come along. This will not count as time worked for those who would not normally attend work at the time of the event.
