Changes to the Print Unit from August

To help maintain social distancing measures as staff and students return to campus, a number of changes will be taking place at the Print Unit.

As of Monday 3 August, the Print Unit based in York House undercroft will be operating, but closed to all walk-in customers. The ID card drop-in service will remain closed until further notice.

Staff and students will be able to request printed materials via email as normal. All enquiries, including requests for replacement ID cards, should be sent to printunit@sef.fm.

  • Staff and schools/departments can continue to order printed materials in the usual way. Deliveries will continue to be made via internal mail as normal.
  • Students can request ad-hoc printing (e.g. posters or study packs) by email; payment will be via debit or credit card, by telephone only. No other forms of payment will be accepted. Printed items will be made available for collection from York House main reception.

ID cards for new and returning students

As the new academic year begins, the procedure for printing and issuing student ID cards will be different from previous years.

New students must apply for their ID card via the online portal, and upload a photo as part of their registration at the University. ID cards will then be delivered by post. The ID card collection service that is usually available in Bramber House during registration will not be operating for the 2020-21 academic year.

Current students and staff needing a replacement card will need to submit a request via email. The drop-in ID card service at York House will be closed for the foreseeable future.
