SussexFood are giving away two tickets to the first of Pharrell Williams' only two UK shows this year, live at the O2 Arena on Thursday 9 October.
Pharrell Williams is a global superstar, most recently realised through his ubiquitous, multi-award-winning, single, 'Happy'.
To be in with a chance of winning the tickets, SussexFood are asking Sussex students and staff to donate a favourite home-cooking recipe at an online portal. (If you don’t use Facebook, you can submit the recipe by email at cateringservices@sussex.ac.uk)
SussexFood are building a “Scrapbook of Recipes”, which is published on their website, but is only in its infancy. SussexFood see this competition as the perfect opportunity to grow the Scrapbook into an essential resource for students and staff.
Amy Smith, Contract Director at SussexFood, said: “We want to add great value to the student and staff experience at Sussex - and what better way than by inspiring more tasty and daring home cooking. We want to build the Scrapbook into the go-to place for interesting recipes. With the cultural diversity here at Sussex, the recipe book should develop a truly global scope.”
So, get your home-cooking-hats on and share with SussexFood your favourite (or most bizarre!) recipes. If you’re struggling for inspiration, ask a friend or family member for a recipe and submit it at the online portal. You’ll be helping to build Sussex’s very own recipe book.
Ideally, SussexFood would like all participants to submit:
- A precise description of the ingredients and cooking method
- A photo of the dish
- And a short, personal description of why this dish means something to you.
Please get involved and tell your classmates, colleagues and friends!
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 5 October, and the winner will be selected at random on Monday 6 October. The prize winner will be notified via Facebook or email.
The competition is open only to students and staff of the University of Sussex, holding a valid @sussex.ac.uk email account. For a full list of terms and conditions, visit the SussexFood website.
