Join your colleagues so that Sussex is a winner in Cycle September

The University of Sussex is currently top of the leaderboard in a competition to get more people riding bikes.

The Sussex team is competing this month against other large employers in the local area to see which workplace can get the most staff to try cycling.

Ride anywhere, any time during the Cycle September challenge: for fun or fitness, to campus, to the shops or around a local park.

Logging rides and naming who encouraged you will help the University to stay top of the leaderboard and will put you in a draw with a chance to win prizes including cycling gear, accessories and vouchers.

If you haven't cycled for years, don't worry! You only have to ride a bike for just 10 minutes or more for your participation to count towards the University of Sussex score.

If you already ride, here's some motivation to increase your mileage and an opportunity to get your colleagues to experience the benefits of cycling.

All staff are welcome; to get involved, go to, click 'Register' at the top of the page and join the University of Sussex team!

And don’t forget to follow the organisers, Love to Ride, on TwitterFacebook and Instagram.

See more information about cycling at Sussex, including details on the University's Cycle to Work scheme for staff who wish to buy a bike.
