New guidance page for remote working and teaching

As most staff are now working from home, we want to ensure your computer set up makes your job as easy as possible.

A new guidance page has been produced for staff working and teaching remotely, summarising the tools, channels and software you need to continue teaching and working.

IT Services and the Technology Enhanced Learning team (TEL) are currently focused on developing new solutions and technologies - and updating all guidance materials for Sussex staff.

Please take a few minutes to read through the page and bring yourself up to speed on the new working arrangements.

The page contains links to useful information like:

  • Improving your broadband speed by using a cable rather than wifi – and not using the microwave

  • Adding programs like Skype for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint on your own computer at no cost – and accessing 1TB of free storage

  • How to install over 100 software titles on your machine, including Adobe Creative Cloud and MindView

It’s worth checking this new page regularly for new information as the situation develops and new resources come online.
