On Monday 10 May, the University updated all staff on the Voluntary Severance (VS) scheme. You can read the full email below.
There are still opportunities for you to find out more about the Voluntary Severance (VS) scheme and what it could mean for you personally:
- You can read our FAQs which will be regularly updated which will include common questions raised from the webinars and those sent by email
- You can email HRVS2021@sussex.ac.uk to ask a question and receive a reply within a week
- Staff can request a call from a member of the HR team to discuss in confidence any question on Voluntary Severance by emailing HRVS2021@sussex.ac.uk
- Before applying each applicant must speak to their relevant Senior Manager – such as: Head of School; Dean; Divisional Director of Professional Service; Head of Professional Service; or the Chief Technical Officer.
- You can also find out more about the Outplacement offering and how it will work at a Zoom webinar run by Jonny Bartlett from LHH (the names of attendees will not be recorded or shown during the session). The next one is on Tuesday 18 May – 10am (click on the link to join)
- The Voluntary Severance payment calculator will give you an estimate of your payment should you be accepted. The amount may vary slightly depending on the date you actually leave.
The scheme is open until 9am on Wednesday 26 May 2021.
Best wishes,
