Campus roads

Weather permitting, several roads on campus will have lane closures in place on 28 April from 8.00am to 12.00 midday to allow for essential line markings to take place, most prominently at the zebra crossings by the path to the train station, on North South Road, and the pedestrian crossing in front of Sussex House. No roads will be fully closed, however buses will also be suspended from coming onto campus during this time, and will instead stop outside campus opposite Falmer Station.

Boiler House Hill: Temporary traffic lights will be in place near the top of Boiler House Hill on Thursday 19 April, from 09.00 am. Work is expected to be complete by the end of the day.

Refectory Road: From 17 to 19 April, the bus turning circle on Refectory Road will be closed. Access to Park Village car park and residences will still be available. These works will also necessitate the suspension of bus services to Northfield, although access for other vehicles will still be available. The turning circle is expected to be reopened during the day on 19 April, at which time bus access to Northfield will once again be available.

On 19 and 20 April, essential maintenance work will take place on Refectory Road in front of Swanborough, which may impact lane access but will not result in a road closure. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on the junction of Norwich Road, East Slope car park, and Refectory Road next to the bus stop during this time.
