Latest update on campus roads and parking

A period of improvement works from January to April may cause some changes for drivers around campus. The work will also continue to place pressure on campus parking and we are keen to help you understand any changes for next week, to aid in planning your journey to campus.

These are essential works and we greatly appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Car parks

  • P1 Science car park: open (28 spaces closed) Work has begun to build a new surface car park on the East side of the campus, adjacent to the Eastern Ring Road. Twenty-eight spaces have been fenced off on the eastern side of the Science car park for the contractor’s equipment during this work.
  • P2 Innovation Centre car park (for use by Innovation Centre personnel only): open
  • P3 Biology Road car park: open
  • P4 Sussex House car park: open
  • P5 Sportcentre car park: open
  • P7 Arts car park: currently closed As we mentioned last week, we had planned to re-open the upper part of the Arts car park on 8 January, but this has been unavoidably delayed and we will let you know as soon as we can when it will re-open.
  • P8 Park Village car park: open
  • P9 Lewes Court car park: open
  • P10 East Slope car park: open
  • Bridge car park: open (for use by Bridge permit holders only)

Campus roads

  • Boiler House Hill: Temporary traffic lights will remain in place next week.
  • Southern Ring Road: The anticipated roadworks that had been planned to commence in early January will be starting at a later date.
