New e-learning resources - a first for Sussex staff

As part of its commitment to make sure that University staff receive the right training to help them in their day-to-day work and to ensure everyone is informed of essential policies and procedures, a new set of e-learning courses have been launched. The first set of courses to launch, which all staff are asked to complete are:

  • data protection
  • diversity in the workplace
  • freedom of information

Director of Human Resources, Sheila Gupta, said: “These online training modules are an excellent new resource for us all in supporting our roles at Sussex. We’ve made sure the programmes are quick and easy to use – some take only 20 minutes to complete.

“So the where and the when are up to you – you can complete them at any time. These are important topics and so please do take some time out of your working day to bring yourself up to speed on each of the areas.”

You will shortly receive emails from the training provider, LearnUpon, with links to the training which is relevant to your role.

Further e-learning modules such as fraud awareness, modern slavery and anti-money laundering will be advertised as they become available online throughout the rest of the year.

The e-learning modules, created with the help of e-learning experts Marshalls, will form a rolling programme of staff development opportunities.
