About us

Sussex Regional ACCESS Centre (SRAC) is located in York House at the University of Sussex and has been supporting students since 1997.

The experienced and specialist team at SRAC are committed to providing high quality and accessible support for students with diverse study needs, including dyslexia, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), mental wellbeing, sensory loss, medical conditions, mobility differences, etc.

Our aim is to provide an inclusive, student-centred service that supports learners to succeed and thrive at university.

SRAC's advice and guidance service is open and free to any student living or studying in the south east region.

SRAC's Needs Assessment fee is £555 (no VAT) and is paid directly out of the DSA. Our fee is over £100 lower than the maximum fee introduced by the government for January 2016. The fee includes advice, guidance and review of study support needs, including liaison with funding bodies, equipment suppliers and Disability Advisers.

SRAC operates within the DSA Quality Assurance Framework and maintains an extensive range of up-to-date assistive technology and equipment.
