Bernardo Cantone joined SPRU as a Phd student in September 2015. The topic of his PhD is about Measurement and National Measurement Systems, in particular he looks at the impact of public R&D on measurements and instrumentation metrology, as well as the quality of national measurement systems in societies. His interest is about combining Engineering with Economics and vice versa, in order to develop innnovative ways to go about solving problems.

Prior to joining SPRU, Bernardo completed a Master in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sussex, and before that, he completed a BEng at the University of Plymouth.
