Commit To Get Fit

Try something new and get active for Commit To Get Fit, our month-long fitness and wellbeing challenge throughout May

To support you, we're providing free Sussexsport staff membership to participants between 2 May - 31 May!

Now in its sixth year, the Commit to Get Fit challenge has inspired staff to get more active and is a great opportunity to socialise with colleagues across campus. The challenge has also had a positive impact on long term fitness, with the majority of staff who have got involved remaining more active six months later.

To support staff throughout Commit to Get Fit month, we offer access to our facilities for all those taking part. Go to a group exercise class, visit the fitness rooms or play a racket sport.

The Staff Development Unit (SDU) will also be running Wellbeing Wednesdays throughout the month. Find out more by reading the full programme and book onto sessions using Sussex Direct.

Commit to Get Fit starts on Tuesday 2 May 2017. We welcome participation from all Sussex staff. You can team up and register as a school or department, form a team with colleagues across campus or sign up as an individual.

Teams can have as few or as many people as you like and activities are suitable for group and individual participation. The majority of sessions will take place on weekday mornings, lunchtimes and in the early evening.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more information and updates throughout Commit to Get Fit month and get involved using the hashtag #CTGFSussex.

Our full timetable for the month is below. All events are free for participants; some activities require you to book via Eventbrite so sign up as early as possible to guarantee your space!
