Free classathon to raise money for Rockinghorse Children's Charity

Sussexsport is offering a day of free classes to raise money for Rockinghorse Children's Charity.

The Classathon takes place on Monday 5 February and is open to everyone, including members of the local community.

All classes are free to register via Eventbrite and you don’t need a Sussexsport membership to attend: we just ask that you donate on the day, which will help raise funds for Rockinghorse.

Boxercise: 9am-10am

Venue: Sport Centre

Boxercise is considered one of the most effective forms of cross-training available! Combining a cardio workout with a conditioning session, it stimulates all muscle groups to help you increase your fitness and stamina; making it one of the most fun and effective ways to exercise.

Outdoor Circuits: 10am-11am

Venue: Outdoor Fitness Area, Falmer Sports Complex

Join us for a free class using our Outdoor Fitness area at the Falmer Sports Complex.

Get tips and advice while trying out the Outdoor Fitness facilities in a fun class that uses bodyweight and calisthenics based exercises. The class is designed to show you how to use and maximise the area, as well as providing you with a whole body workout. You will go through the basics of bodyweight training and learn the initial progressions for certain exercises.

Metabolic: 11am-noon

VenueFalmer Sports Complex

A class centred on strength training to produce a high intensity class that trains both the muscular and cardiovascular system to create a smart training solution. The class uses a rotation system, so the user can record their progress. The class uses barbells, dumbbells, ropes, kettlebells and medicine balls and requires some experience of free weight training. The class is a great calorie burner, great fun and is a challenging workout.

Venue: Sport Centre 

A session that focuses on an all over body workout. The class is aimed at all levels from the beginner through to the advanced trainer.

Spin: 8pm-9pm

Venue: Sport Centre 

Cycle to the beat of the music or speed through challenging intervals. This high intensity class will help you burn calories, energise the body and is suitable for all abilities.
