If you find you have a lecture or commitment that clashes with any course that you have signed up for, we will give you a full refund providing you let us know at least 24 hours before the course commences.

Course notes

  • Drop-in sessions are not offered on courses.
  • Courses will be cancelled if there are insufficient numbers, so please book in advance to ensure that the course you are interested in runs.
  • Once you are signed onto a course, please come to reception before each session and ensure that your name is ticked off the course register.
  • Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration and if you have any injuries or problems then discuss these with the instructor before the class.
  • Do not arrive late for a course as the warm up is a vital part of the session and helps prevent injury.
  • We ensure that all teachers are fully qualified and experienced. However, all participants take part in any activity at their own risk.

Course descriptions

CourseCourse Description
Ballet - Level 1/2 This class includes basic components of ballet technique for co-ordination and suppleness incorporated into short dances. Also suitable for those with previous ballet experience or at least one term of general ballet.
Ballet - Level 3 Furthering traditional technique, covering vocabulary and qualities of ballet, where basics are known.
Classic Yoga A complete system of health and fitness for mind, body and spirit with deep relaxation, breathing, stretching, balance and inverted posture exercises.
Contemporary Dance A genre of concert dance that employs systems/methods found in modern, post-modern dance and classical ballet. Drawing on modern dance techniques and newer philosophies of movement that depart from classical techniques by altogether omitting structured form/movement.
Hatha Yoga A class incorporating classical yoga postures, breathing techniques and relaxation to aid total well-being, inner peace and mental clarity.
Pilates Mat-based Pilates focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the total body. Slow controlled movements for maximum effect and relaxation.
Swing Lindy Hop is the earliest form of Swing Jive. It can be danced to almost every style of music and has an emphasis on improvisation. Other Swing era dances include Charleston, Shag, Balboa and Blues.
Tennis For those wanting to learn the basic principles of tennis.
Trapeze You will learn skills on the trapeze, rope and silk with a qualified aerial practitioner and in a supportive environment. A great way to keep fit, develop strength and de-stress whilst having fun. Improvers/advanced course for those that have experience of trapeze.
