Sussexsport online classes membership

Our online fitness classes are a great way to be fit and active at home, and stay connected to others.

From relaxing yoga sessions to exhilarating high intensity interval training, we have something for everyone. Classes take place live via Zoom, and we have some pre-recorded classes that you can do at a time to suit you too.

If you're a current Sussexsport Gold or Silver member, you will have access to our online classes as part of your membership.

Online members will receive an email from Sussexsport with details of how to access the latest classes. All you need to take part is a Zoom account registered to your Sussex email address (including BSMS and IDS).

Monday

9.15am-10.15am - Dynamic Pilates with Keiran

Keiran's Dynamic Pilates session, which will provide an all over body workout!

11am-12 noon - Traditional Pilates with Keiran

Keiran's traditional Pilates session, which will provide an all over body workout!

1pm-2pm - Yoga with Gratia

Relax and unwind with Gratia's yoga class, which will leave you feeling flexible and revived.

5pm-5.45pm - PiYo with Gemma May

Gemma's popular PiYo class will keep you flexible and give you a good workout at the same time.

6pm-6.45pm - HIIT with Ria

Ria's popular High Intensity Interval Training session, transported to your home! This class will provide a challenging all over workout that you can pace to suit you.

7.30pm-8.30pm - Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics with Keiran

Keiran's Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics session, which will provide an all over body workout!

Tuesday

12.30pm-1.15pm - Zumba with Gemma Coe

Our members love Gemma's Zumba session. Try it at home and find out why it's such a fun way to workout.

6pm-7pm - CardioBox with Ria

Ria's CardioBox class is a combination of martial arts and an aerobic workout that promises to get you moving!

6pm-7pm - Traditional Pilates with Keiran

Keiran's traditional Pilates session, which will provide an all over body workout!

7pm-8pm - Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics with Keiran

Keiran's Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics session, which will provide an all over body workout!

Wednesday

12 noon-1pm - Dynamic Yoga with Gratia

A perfect midday break, join Gratia for her popular yoga session that will leave you feeling flexible and refreshed for the rest of the day!

4pm-5pm - Strength and Conditioning with Steve

Steve's popular Strength and Conditioning workout, transported out of our gym and into your home.

Thursday

Friday

11am-12 noon - Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics with Keiran

5pm-6pm - HIIT with Steve

Missing Steve's HIIT class? This workout will be a creative way to work your muscles at home.

This is a pre-recorded session, with a new class each week, so you can watch at a time that suits you! 

Sunday

10.30am-11.30am - Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics with Keiran

Keiran's Dynamic Pilates and Calisthenics session, which will provide an all over body workout!

Before you book onto a class: 

  • Make sure you have plenty of room at home to do the class. Ensure you have 2 metres square of space, with suitable lighting and ventilation
  • If you are feeling unwell or have an injury, you shouldn't take part in the class
  • Please keep hydrated whilst taking part

Do not exercise if you’re injured or feeling unwell, please consult your doctor first. Logging into a class is solely at your own risk and any injuries occurred are your own responsibility.

How to book onto a class:

  • First, you'll need to sign up to Zoom using your Sussex email. We can only authorise class entry via your University of Sussex email (including BSMS and IDS email addresses), so please register here using your University email address
  • You'll need to have an account and be logged in and ready before the class starts - so leave yourself plenty of time; online classes will be locked 5 minutes after the start time of the class
  • Join a class using the meeting ID for the session you want to participate in. You may need to download some add-ons, but you should only need to do this once if using the same device each time
  • You should now be able to see 'Please wait for your host to start the meeting'. You can test your audio at this point
  • Zoom will ask you to choose audio on/video on. If you have to click, choose audio on to access the meeting. Please turn this off once you are in the class, or others will be able to hear you
  • Answer the simple screening questions
  • You're in and the class will begin: let's get active!
