CRHaM - Centre for Research in Health and Medicine

CRHaM is a group of researchers from varied academic backgrounds within the University of Sussex investigating health-related behaviour, patient-professional interactions in health care, medicines policy, the social determinants of health and health-related issues more generally.

CRHaM members are currently engaged in a variety of projects, which include:

  • identifying predictors of medication adherence
  • identifying predictors of safer sex
  • the development of educational materials to promote safer sexual practices
  • identifying predictors of young people's smoking
  • development of leaflets to design adherence to exercise/self-care advice
  • understanding health inequalities
  • minimisation of clinic non-attendance
  • examination of factors involved in the regulation of medicine
